All whilst preserving the cherished heritage attributes of the existing structure, juxtaposed against rear extension with a contemporary aesthetic.

Alterations and additions as well as a complete refurbishment to the existing heritage listed terrace in Bondi. The charm of the existing terrace was maintained and enhanced upon entry to the home where you then step through to the modernised rear addition with a contemporary look and feel. Part of the success was gained through making the 4.5m wide site feel much wider than it was by designing operable glazed windows and doors that ensured the side and rear courtyard felt like an extension of the internal spaces. Off-form concrete features such as the built-in BBQ and seating were some of the unique details incorporated into this project.
